The Last Winter

This is a visual diary of my last winter experience in Greater New York City area, from 2013 to 2014 – a tale of subtle mood swing from low to normal, normal to peak and then slowly settle to an acceptable state and finding a way out to something meaningful from absolute desolation. Of course, this is very personal in nature and it’s my observation being a tropical guy and correlation the whole experience with another viewpoint.

This is my documentation of the city, the time frame I lived there, my existence and personal experience with the city, and most importantly the interactions with the people of NYC, the warmth and intimacy, the sense of socio-economical culture and arrangements, and overall Manhattan madness.

Resonance

Some scenes reciprocate a state of mind. These scenes could be of a very mundane place or maybe grand view of Himalaya. But not necessarily all grand views resonate a mind. In this series of black & white images, I have tried to photograph natural places, with little known and unrecognized places, with people and without people, which somehow resonate my state of mind and heart.

Sunshine Through The Mountain Fog

Sunshine Through The Mountain Fog

Even it flashes when world falls apart. I decided to take a quick tour to the dreamland leaving today’s chaos far behind where sunshine peeps through mountain fog, mist touches heart and cures all the scars just like I imagined. Oh my memory drive, don’t take me away from here, don’t let me wake up, I want to march another thousand miles this morning…
